Hi — I’m Daria. I’m driven by a radiant energy. I’m a designer who thinks with her hands, builds with instinct, and dives headfirst into ideas that spark. Curious, aware, captivated, focused — and yes, a little “crazy.” Happy accidents — that’s my motto. I love making just as much as designing. Tinkering, assembling, transforming, inventing — that’s where everything begins. At the National Theatre School of Canada, I developed a deep passion for design and project management. I discovered a space where I learned to structure momentum, channel chaos, and give shape to imagination. I fully invest myself in everything I do, and I care deeply that the creative process is as rich and alive as the final result. For me, creating means feeling, searching, failing, and starting again — together. I need collaboration to go further. It’s not just a tool, it’s a driving force. It sits at the core of my practice. I value teamwork and aim to create in environments that are both stimulating and supportive. I’m at my best when I’m surrounded by people who share that same drive. I’m known for my kindness, my attentiveness, and my ability to adapt without losing direction. But beneath that, there’s intensity, rigor, and a desire to make work that feels true. I’m reliable, committed, present. And I fully embrace my instinct and sense of wildness — because this work doesn’t happen without a certain dose of it. I’m energized by the range that design and fabrication offer. Set design, props, masks, puppets, painting — I’m always ready to jump in. I like to explore everything, learn through doing, get my hands dirty, understand materials, and push them further. I’m looking for projects with a bit of fire. People who care. Spaces where we can build something that goes beyond the object itself. For me, creating is a way of leaving a trace of light. Be it big. Be it small. As long as it’s there.
